In this course we first off start by learning the basics of Microsoft Excel.  How to create multiple sheets, entering data, formatting cells and lists, insert and deleting, as well as adding and subtracting totals.  From there, we get into building the actual savings tracking worksheet.  Starting with a blank sheet, by the end we have a fully automated savings tracking.  Set up multiple goals (college, bike, spending, etc) and track your savings efforts.  Either fully automate the process and keep your savings tracking in Excel, OR print off the worksheet and use it with your child to manually write in the savings set aside and put in totals so they can see their savings grow.  Add to your parenting skills by being able to work with your child or teen in building this savings tracking spreadsheet.

About The Instructor

Chris Benjamin, MBA & CFO is a seasoned professional with over 20 years experience in accounting, finance, Microsoft Excel and personal finance.  Having spent the first 10 years of my career in corporate settings with both large and small companies, I learned a lot about the accounting process, managing accounting departments, financial reporting, external reporting to board of directors and the Securities and Exchange Commission, and working with external auditors.

The following 10+ years I decided to go into CFO Consulting, working with growing companies and bringing CFO level experience to companies.  I help implement proper best business practices in accounting and finance, consult on implementation of accounting systems, implementing accounting procedures, while also still fulfilling the CFO roll for many of my clients which includes financial reporting, auditing, working with investors, financial analysis and much more.
